Publication Offers Area Employers
Greater Access to Job Candidates
Norfolk, VA, June
15, 2006 - The Employment Guide® (www.EmploymentGuide.com) today announced
its expansion into Columbia, South Carolina. The move into this market is in response to
low unemployment rates and the challenges this poses for employers in
attracting qualified candidates. The first edition will hit the streets on
Monday, June 19, 2006.
The Columbia edition plans to distribute more
than 17,000 weekly publications within 200 of The Employment Guide's signature green boxes, as well as 300
additional locations in high traffic areas such as restaurants and
supermarkets.
"We are very excited to welcome Columbia to
our family of featured Employment Guide
cities," said Jeff Littlejohn, Vice President and General Manager of The Employment Guide. "Our exceptional staff of recruitment
advertising specialists look forward to building partnerships with local
recruiters to help meet their ongoing hiring needs."
Lyle Stone, General Manager of the Columbia
office of The Employment Guide added,
"Richland and Lexington counties have some of the lowest unemployment
rates in the state. Employers are finding it more difficult to attract
qualified candidates. . The Employment
